July 7

Hi everybody, this is Ake (that new saxamaphone player) again. I just feel like writing something here since it's been a while since the last post.

Thought I'd start with a brief update. We came back from the states a couple of weeks ago, we had such an amazing time and we'd like to thank everybody who made it so awesome!
All the people who let us stay at their houses and all the great bands we got to play with and, yeah, you know. All you great people out there! Thanks!
Here's some videos I found on youtube from the tour. If you have any more videos or pictures please feel free to email links to us!

Cake Shop:

Market Hotel:

In other news... That little Cover-CDR thing we made for the tour is now available on emusic, where you can also get our new single Wishing Well. Download it here.
And it will soon be available on vinyl. Wishing well is now also available for streaming on our myspace page!

We also have some shows coming in London, Malmö, Hamburg and maybe something more in the beginning of august. More info on that later!

Talk to you soon!

US update from the new guy...

Hey, Åke here! (the new guy...)
So ok, the visa thing worked out, so we're set and ready to go west!
I get there on friday, ready to get in a cab as soon as possible to go to the knitting factory where I'll be doing a solo show opening for the incomparable Gary Wilson.
(Of course the new guy promotes himself with his first blog entry...)

After that we have a couple of days to hang out in new york and get ready and PUMPED for our shows. First up is Otto bar in Baltimore on the 10'th.
So it's:

10'th - Otto bar, Baltimore, MD
11'th - Black cat club, Washington DC
12'th - Cake shop, New York, NY
13'th - the Barbary, Philadelphia, PA
14'th - Market hotel, Brooklyn, NY
15'th - Great scott!, Boston, MA
16'th - Bowery ballroom, New York, NY

We're all very excited and judging from last nights rehearsal, it's gonna be good!

We're also bringing our new cover CDR's.
These include five cover songs we recorded a few weeks ago.
We all got to choose one song by another artist that we then recorded in our rehearsal space.

The songs are:

1. Kung-fu on the internet by Lung leg (picked by Josephine)
2. I ran by a Flock of Seagulls (picked by Åke)
3. So far away by Dire Straits (picked by Johan)
4. Golly gosh by Jed Dmochowski (picked by Markus)
5. Darling nikki by Prince (picked by Nicke)

Ok, we'll be back soon with more info and stuff.

bowery and visas.

so yesterday we all got up at 3.30 am to drive to the american embassy in stockholm in order to get our visas. that meant three hours of sleep. the interviews went fine and our visas will most definitely be approved. but maybe not in time. there's some new system that is delaying everything. markus, who was supposed to leave on tuesday will probably have to reschedule his flight. i'm concerned about mine too, leaving dead early on thursday. i'm so nervous my stomach is turning.
oh, well, fingers crossed everything will work out. the people at the embassy are really helpful and have promised to keep us updated.

i was really supposed to write and let you know that we have another show booked in new york. it's at bowery ballroom. i have never been there, but it sounds huge to me. the tickets are apparently pretty pricey, but we promise to try and make ut up to you. we'll play some extra songs if you want to hear extra songs... and we will sell our merch a little cheaper in case you want to buy some souvenirs. please let us know if there are any special songs you want to hear and we will try to find time to rehearse them.

okay, i think that's all for now. off now for some bbq, beers and wiffle ball in the park.

hopefully see some of you soon.

love,
josephine
